Adele’s scholarly research explores:

  • the science (specifically the neurophysiology) of teaching, learning, and creativity

  • the inherently embodied and interdisciplinary nature of all education

  • the role of somatic practices as a bridge between: science & embodiment; theory & practice; form & human experience; top-down & bottom-up learning; and internal & external processes of “knowing”

Her work highly values collaborative and interdisciplinary endeavors.

Adele has most recently presented research at the SHSU Scholarly Innovation Summit (2022), the Texas Dance Improvisation Festival (2022), the Dance Studies Association Conference (2021), the Dance Science and Somatics Educators (DSSE) Conference (2021 & 2019), the American Education Research Association (AERA) conference (2020), the National Dance Educators Organization Conference (2018), University of Washington’s Graduate Research Symposium (2018), and the Jungian Society for Scholarly Studies (JSSS) Conference (2018).
